This 1,767-image digital collection documents the baseball career of Robert "Ducky" Detweiler, primarily in the 1940s and 1950s, though including documents up to his induction to the Eastern Shore Baseball Hall of Fame in 1998. Included are photographs, artifacts, a personal narrative by Detweiler, audiovisual items, programs, and many chronological scrapbooks maintained by Detweiler's wife. The Evelyn Jefferson Fox papers document the activities of her family members who resided on Taylor’s Island and in Federalsburg, Maryland. Two photographic scrapbooks from 1910-1920 also document the cultural landscape and family activities through photographic images and newspaper clippings of Ocean City, Federalsburg, and Taylors Island.

In a series of interviews with local Eastern Shore resident Mark Holsinger during 1972, former Salisbury University students Paul Purdum and Lynne Matthiesen collected folk legends. For this collection, these interviews focus on various stories revolving around the tale of the silver handled whip, that was said to be used by a decease woman protecting and haunting her fortune from her adopted brother whom she earlier in life disowned. Her estate is located near the Choptank River in Federalsburg, Maryland. Most interviews include personal descriptions of the interviewer and informant, and the story.
